Improving fisheries information and traceability for tuna by helping companies provide information on their fishing activities. That is what The IFITT Project is all about. Wageningen University, MDPI , ThisFish and Bogor University are implementing what we call an ‘information rich’ traceability system and assessing its potential impact as a mechanism for sustainable data collection for small-scale tuna fisheries in Indonesia.
Ensuring that tuna is not only traceable but contributes information for sustainable management is a challenging proposition. Watch this video for explanation of the IFITT project.
